Bannerghatta National Park

Bannerghatta National Park is a verdant jungle sprawling over an area of 25,000 acres on the southern outskirts of Bangalore. Big cats such as panthers, lions and tigers reign the vast expanse of the forest. The park offers a rich variety of flora and fauna and is home to bears and wild elephants. A large number of stunning birds are also sighted at Bannerghatta National Park. Activities include safaris into the lion, tiger and bear enclosures. You can go for guided nature walks and treks inside the Herbivore Safari. The park also has a zoo and a children's corner providing added attractions. Apart from this, the park has a mini aviary, a butterfly park and a museum

How to Reach

Bannerghatta National Park is located about 22 km south of Bangalore on Bannerghatta Road. Taxis are available from Bangalore to reach the park.
