Manjira Wildlife Sanctuary

Manjira Wildlife Sanctuary is an exotic forest situated at a distance of 50 km from Hyderabad in Medak district of Telangana. The Manjira Wildlife Sanctuary, nestling between Manjira and Singur barrages, comprises of nine small islands that shelter resident and migratory birds as well as marsh crocodiles. Located at a distance of 75 km from the town of Medak and 5 km from Sangareddy, the forest extends over an area of 20 sq. km. The natural beauty of the place makes it ideal for nature lovers. The best time to visit the sanctuary is November to January.

How to Reach

The nearest airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad (72 km). Nearest railhead is Lingampally Railway Station (20 km). Manjira Forest is 75 km from Medak and 5 km from Sangareddy.

Accommodation

You can stay at the Inspection Bungalows at Sangareddy and Sadashivpet. Several private hotels and restuarants are also available at Medak town.
